Karma Kandara, Uluwatu-Bali. OK, what should I say about this most stunning luxury villa in Bali. All the prestigious hi-end printed and electronic media coverages have said enough about this spectacular place situated on the cliff top of the Bukit Peninsula, southern of Bali. I was proud to be part of BALISTARZ-the finest event company in the island-team organizing the Grand Opening Party on March 2008, where Emmy & Golden Globe winning Hollywood actor, Jeremy Piven, from the hit series ‘Entourage’, international supermodel Kristy Hinze and GQ editor Grant Pierce were among over 500 VIP guests from Bali and beyond who joined in the festivities that carried on through the night to meet the dawn ! And the only event in Bali with Hannah, the gorgeous mermaid swimming across the ocean from Australia to Karma Kandara private beach to wow us and entertain us with her underwater moves !

While most Balinese doing their monthly religious ritual in temples, Saturday, 9 May 2009, this time I went to Karma Kandara as a guest on their Full Moon Party at NAMMOS Beach Club – voted as the Best Beach Club 2008 by Hello Bali Magazine-well, actually I was accompanying Bart who was there on a photography assignment from his boss. We don’t usually go out clubbing in the evening,as it is an activity that truly made me sleepy…zzzz….and yawned many many times….and I did! Dunno why, why being in a place with minimum lighting, at 10pm which is my bed time 🙂 and had to listen to this house-or whatever it is-music from DJ Pee Wee Ferrisfrom Sydney that says : come on…come on..come on….like 50 times really drove me mad….LOL.
That is why trying their Karma wooden fire pizza, Calamary ring with that lemon mayo sauce, sipping their signature cocktail and fun drinks such as : Passionata, Karma Jungle Juice, Karma Colada felt more entertaining to me than dance and mingle…hehe…we’re allowed to be different and have our own taste and preference, right?
Finding Menu @Nammos…
There were not much people attending to this party as expected. I heard another Full Moon Party were being held nearby in one of Bali’s latest leisure spot (you know where – don’t feel it necessary to ‘promote’ this ‘tragic’ place) and only one ‘gang’ from Karma team continued their dance the night away to NAMMOS.
This place is amazzzing, indeed..you should check out these photos that BALISTARZ team made on the Grand Opening Party on March 2008 aforementioned. Not only their only access via private inclinator that carries up to 5 guests 100meters up and down the cliff is already the fun part of the visit, but the white sand beach with blue turquoise water, daybeds, private pavilions, and its own lagoon where you can go with their kitchen staff to catch your OWN seafood will made your tropical day. I would personally go to NAMMOS in the afternoon and enjoy the sunset cocktail (although it’s not the perfect spot to enjoy a perfect sunset) after.
The Full Moon that night was sometimes covered by the clouds, but its reflection to the sea gives a true romantic setting..too bad Bart was working he had to leave me sitting alone enjoying the beach by night and delicious dinner, courtesy by Espy & Clinton (Terima Kasih!) 🙂
No offense to DJ and house music and those sometimes silly dance after several cocktails maybe spirits, but I imagine this place would be much better to enjoy with my family and friends, chill out music or other easy listening music, enjoying Karma signature cuisine.
You MUST check out their cool website and their virtual tour to exhilarating view of Karma Kandara at www.karmakandara.com and www.karmaresorts.com for more properties of the group.
And check out also BALISTARZ Facebook Fan Page, the expert in conceptualize and coordinating any customized events, weddings (dreaming having my own at NAMMOS…) and make an unforgettable woww memory of your special day.

You do not go to bed at 10pm as you’re on Twitter around that time unless you dream up your tweets! haha! 🙂 I’ve yet to visit Uluwatu though I would love some pictures of the temple on the cliff. Good place to watch the sunset & have dinner perhaps? Let’s see in August! Yippee!

I do go to bed at 10pm, Keith! it’s true! But I can stay up all night in front of computer and tweeting…but at a club, even if it’s only for 20 min I find it so boring so easily…dunno why??….:p
This sounds seriously awesome and my type of good time. If only it wasn’t so expensive to stay in Bali, I’d be there in a heartbeat!

will come back again sooonnnn….( I hope)….Nammos beach club is a great—beautiful place…special thank’s to Bart and Bee 🙂
Only a small clarification
Nammos Beach is NOT a private beach. There are no private beaches in Bali (Neither Nusa Dua beaches are private)
To access Nammos beach you can use the cable owned by the Karma Kandara (for which non guests pay Rp. 250,000 which can then be partly used to pay at their restaurant) but you can also access the beach for free with a stone staircase (with handrail) of 343 steps just on the left side of the security main entrance.
Karma Kandara and Nammos Beach Club is a unbeatable option for both an idillyc isolated landscape and the top end quality of their luxury services, but they DON’T own the beach.
@Anonimous well aware of all you mentioned there, looks like you’ve had a bad time at Karma? Karma Kandara is the only access to get to the Nammos Beach Club, and the word “private beach” is then used in the tourism industry to describe the exclusivity and privacy of a beach, otherwise you will find yourself with tons of tourists at Kuta Beach. And…they gave me the Karma Chameleon card that give you free access with your friends to Nammos Beach Club and special offers on all Karma venues & merchandises. Too bad you didn’t want to leave your name & sounded bitter, I could’ve lent you my ‘Karma magic card’ Cheers 😉
I was wondering if you left Geo with a nanny while you’re having too much fun but then i realized its 2009. Sigh. I miss my 2009.
