Living in Jimbaran has multiple advantages in terms of distance to famous and beautiful beaches. Five minutes from Jimbaran Bay and its seafood cafes, ten minutes to Dreamland that is now called ‘New Kuta’ Beach (a leisure complex investor has changed this legendary name of the beach that once was found by some western surfers back in 70’s), about 15 min to the famous Padang Padang Beach, known as Bali’s most fearsome and notorious wave, where Rip Curl usually hold its ISC surfing contest on this one & only perfect tube ride (and a long waiting period to get the perfect tube).
On this Labuan Sait-Ungasan area, along the cost line, you’ll find several surf beaches, you can do beach hopping in one full day from the morning until sunset time, with a big lunch break at one of the culinary spots in this area – from balinese food to thai or italian delicacies. It’s actually a surf camp, so there was literally only me & Benny on the beach and several surfers paddling on the background. We are always keen for a new adventure finding new spots in Bali, including hidden & beautiful beaches where we can just relax, bring our favorite Bali sarongs, drinking some icy cold Bintangs, take a nana nap, and take some great shots of the place.
How to get there : Towards Uluwatu street to the south, after passing an intersection, you can either take the Jl. Labuan Sait road to the right if you notice ‘Blue Point Bay Villa’ signage in front of a small warung and across of Office of Perbekel Pecatu Village. Take this road that is going up and down hill, until you see on the right side of the road a lime stone signage on an alley wall of ‘C151 Villa’, a paving stone small street that will take you to the parking lot of Impossible Beach. Or you can go from Uluwatu Temple and follow the road that takes you to Padang Padang beach the same road of Jl. Labuan Sait but the ‘C151 Villa’ alley will be on your left side. Hope you can find it, do not hesitate to ask for direction.
To get to this non-touristy beach, I needed to stop several times to breath as this steep off beaten path takes you extremely down hill through lots of staircase with no hand grip! Be patient, my friend, it’s all worth it. Not suitable for little kids and elderly since the way to get back up to the parking lot is too long and climbing and super tiring. It was an impossible beach trip ever..
Me & the beach hopping & the tanned skin from 2005-2010 are GONE now, with preggo then a baby (and a husband!)
