In the past, I wrote about one of my favourite Bali beaches where I could spend a Me Time just by reading book and sun bathing on this Nusa Dua jewel called Geger Beach. I didn’t know several years later, things will dramatically change upon the construction of a six-star resort, with a bit of pro-contra debate of whether Bali needs another hi-end resort into its accommodation port folio.
The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas is surrounded by the beautiful Nusa Dua coastline, a breathtaking landscape that welcome everyone ready to discover and experience Bali in extravagance, private, and exclusivity way of vacation. Along with the intention to offer a high value accommodation for guests who appreciate the ultra-luxury services and amenities, being one of Bali culinary destinations has also become their main goal – very intriguing and proven true, if you visit their famous Sunday Brunch at Soleil, a beachfront restaurant at The Mulia and The Cafe Restaurant that is always packed with hotel and non-hotel guests during breakfast, lunch, and dinner time offering lavish wide range of unique international cuisines. This what has brought me, Benny, and our Baby Geo to the main restaurant at Mulia Resort. We just couldn’t wait to taste various international cuisines they’re offering.
We arrived at The Cafe of Mulia Resort, a spacious dining place with live cooking action, each station offers different range of international menu, they even have its own native international chef for respective station. Another thing we love about The Cafe, instead of displaying cooked food on hot stoves all day, they display the dish samples for you to choose, they will then cook the fresh one for you, right in front of your hungry eyes and rumbling tummy. Like the fresh green salad mixed freshly for me, and if you still think the dressing needs a little more kick in the flavour, pull out the balsamic vinegar from the capsule pens rack.
Sushi, sashimi, chinese style fried rice, papaya thai salad, sumatran rendang, balinese suckling pig, cheese naan…man, how can they expect us to eat all this abundant dishes from the non-stop cooking stations, this place is huge for a buffet style restaurant, we didn’t know where to begin, what to choose, and mostly : how do we stop from going back and forward from our seats to the next buffet tables. Somebody at The Cafe must stop us, or help us to make up our mind!
The desserts occupied two special spaces, and they deserve it! Sweet-tooth are spoiled here with myriad of cakes, puddings, chocolates, mousses, and ice cream! They are too many colorful cute delicacies, it made my head dizzy even more when our Baby Geo tried to climb this ‘wheel of fortune’ of ice cream station. Which flavor goes best in mix and what topping to choose : almond, fresh chopped fruits, fruity sauces..
OK, one sweet cake, two or three meringues, and mango ice cream on a cone for me, please?..

A wheel of ice cream fortune Baby Geo wants to climb and spin!
Simple italian dish for 16 months Baby Geo : fusilli with tomato sauce. The high chair needs to be protected on the sides and at the front as the little legs & body could easily slip away. Scary! Please source the correct safety baby chair model!

We went for dinner tonight after I saw your blog. Absolutely fantastic we were very impressed by the quality of the food and service. There is such a variety it is difficult to know where to start or where to finish!!
